About ten percent of American children suffer from asthma, and it’s even more common among kids living in poverty.

But reducing the amount of allergens inside the home can help control the symptoms.

According to cinewsnow.com, a new report finds many asthmatic children are sensitive to dust mites and mold, which are common in humid environments.

Pests can also trigger asthma symptoms.

About three-quarters of homes have detectable amounts of mouse and cockroach allergens, and they are even more common in poor, urban areas.
