Ameren wants to help those that have fallen behind on their electric bills.
According to cinewsnow.com & amerenillinois.com, Ameren says customers with past due balances can make a repayment plan by putting down a 10% down payment before the end of this week.
After that, they will need to pay another 25% before a plan can be created.
Shirley Stennis, director of Customer Service for Ameren Illinois. said,
“We understand some of our customers are facing tough economic times. This payment plan is an opportunity for those customers to get back on track. We are offering customers an opportunity to avoid service disconnections, Disconnection of service is always a last resort.”
The deadline for Ameren late fee repayment program is coming this Friday, April 1st.
To establish a payment plan and for more information, call them at 1-800-755-5000, select “billing and payment” from the menu, and follow the voice prompts. Customers may also set up an agreement by visiting AmerenIllinois.com.
