WVEL News/Finance Scope: Peoria Riverfront Concerts Bring In Millions Of Dollars In Economic Revenue

Riverfront concerts in Peoria, IL brought in an estimated $5.1 million in economic revenue to the area, according to a release from Inked Entertainment LLC & WEEK-TV.

The numbers come from the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, saying the 10 concert dates brought in about $5,114,796 to the local economy.

The dollar amount considers money spent on food, retail, fuel, plus accommodations and entertainment spent outside the events.

The concert dates included in the calculation come from the Spring Fling, Tailgate N’ Tallboys, and River City Soul Fest. They sold more than 40,000 tickets.

Inked Entertainment said they are already planning for 2019, and will release the first round of artist announcements on Tuesday, November, 6th.

Festival dates for Tailgate N’ Tallboys 2019 are already out, scheduled for June 13th-17th, July 20th-21st, and September 14th.
