Get ready for some waffle fries, fresh lemonade, grilled chicken nuggets, chicken biscuits, and sandwiches, Champaign Area & Vicinity, Chick-fil-A is coming your way!

Chick-fil-A will open on the former Ruby Tuesday lot in the 2300 block of North Prospect Avenue.

According to WAND-TV, a building permit was filed on last week.

It is not clear yet when construction will begin or when the restaurant will open.

This will be the only Chick-fil-A restaurant in Champaign, IL.

The Illini Student Union had one with a limited menu until it closed down several years ago.
