The 44th running of the Steamboat Classic 4 Mile, 15 Kilometer, and 4 Kilometer Races will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in downtown Peoria, IL.
The Steamboat Classic has been known as the “World’s Fastest Four Miles,“ “Illinois Toughest 15K,“ and “Peoria’s Easiest 4K,” these running events will be open and cater to runners and walkers of all ability levels.
Attracting runners from around the world and around the block, the Steamboat Classic is an equal-opportunity athletic event, welcoming walkers, joggers and runners of all ages and ability levels.
Whether this is your first time or you’re going for your best time, one of the Steamboat Classic events is perfect for you! All participants will receive a race entry, complimentary technical race shirt, celebratory medal, and entry to the Finish Line festival to celebrate their achievements.

11:00 am — Steamboat Classic Fitness Expo & Packet Pick Up begins @ Running Central (311 SW Water Street)
3:00 pm — Brewers Distributing onsite @ Expo providing product samples
6:00 pm — Steamboat Classic Fitness Expo & Packet Pick Up closes
Friday, June 16th:
11:00 am — Steamboat Classic Fitness Expo & Packet Pick Up begins @ Running Central (311 SW Water Street)
3:00 pm — Brewers Distributing onsite providing product samples
6:00 pm — Steamboat Classic Fitness Expo & Packet Pick Up closes
Saturday, June 17th:
6:52 am — National Anthem @ the intersection of Adams & Main in Downtown Peoria
6:55 am — 4 mile wheelchair race starts @ the intersection of Adams & Main in Downtown Peoria
7:00 am — 4 mile and 15K races start @ the intersection of Adams & Main in Downtown Peoria
7:30 am — Steamboat Classic Finish Line Festival Starts in Festival Park
8:00 am — 2 mile race starts @ the intersection of Adams & Hamilton in Downtown Peoria
8:45 am — Welcome & Special Announcements
9:00 am — 4 mile awards (Top 25 men & women) ceremony begins. All other 4 mile awards will be available at the side of the stage.
9:30 am — 15K awards (Top 25 men & women) ceremony begins. All other 15K awards will be available at the side of the stage.
The Steamboat Classic will offer limited packet pick-up on Race Day, Saturday, June 17, from 5:00am-6:30am on, at the Gateway Building. No last-minute Race Day entries!
All registered participants will receive the official Steamboat Classic event T-Shirt and poster. After completing the race, finishers will be treated to refreshments at the Post-Race Party at Festival Park.
