According to week.com, certain Gordmans locations may be saved from closure under the terms of a new deal.

Stage Stores announced earlier this week that one of their subsidiaries will purchase at least 50 store leases from the bankrupt clothing chain, with the rights to assume leases for seven more stores, a distribution center, and all of Gordmans’ inventory.

Stage Stores did not disclose this week on which stores they will buy. The 48 stores not included in the deal will be liquidated and presumably closed. The Gordmans chain has 3 stores in the North Central Illinois region (Peoria, East Peoria, and Normal),.
