Peoria CityLink is cancelling the continuous bus shuttles from participating hotels to the Peoria Civic Center for the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Boys Basketball State Finals on Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th for the Class 1A and 2A games, and Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st for the Class 3A and 4A games.
This is due to the announcement from IHSA that it is limiting attendance to the tournament across all remaining basketball games this season, including all games for the IHSA Boys Basketball State Finals tournament held at the Peoria Civic Center.
A statement from IHSA said this decision comes after consultation with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Peoria City/County Health Department to preemptively reduce the potential spread of COVID-19/coronavirus.
CityLink is taking extra precautionary measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19/coronavirus and sanitizing all buses and the Transit Center facility, located at 407 SW Adams, daily with EPA approved products recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Peoria City/County Health Department. All CityLink fixed route buses are also equipped with hand sanitizer for passengers to use.
