Illinois American Water Co. is announcing its 2019 Firefighter Grant Program.

According to WICS-TV, the grants can be up to $1,000 and will be given to fire and emergency organizations within the company’s service area.

They can be used for costs such as firefighting tools, protective gear, and reimbursement for fire training classes.

Applications are due by Tuesday, September 10th.
