Tyler Perry, whose farewell tour to Madea is set to hit the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA next month, is among the stars set to get stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.

Other African American celebrities set for stars on the Walk of Fame include Lupita Nyong’o, Empire’s Terrence Howard, Teddy Riley, Cedric The Entertainer, Cypress Hill, and Teddy Riley. Jackie Wilson will receive the honor posthumously.

Hard to believe that such film greats at Robert De Niro, Gena Rowlands, and Daniel Craig had not already been so honored, but are also among the 2019 class of recipients. Others receiving stars include Anne Hathaway, Idina Menzel, Mandy Moore, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Faith Hill, and Pink.

34 induction ceremonies will be held in 2019. Walk of Fame ceremonies are open to the public. Admission to ceremonies are free with space available on a first come basis. Star ceremonies are usually announced ten days prior to dedication at www.walkoffame.com.
