According to The Associated Press & WGEM-TV, the Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds of Lewistown, IL, is offering a series of nature adventure days for kids each Wednesday in June in western Illinois.

A variety of outdoor adventures and hands-on learning will be offered, including hiking, nature observation, wildlife viewing and laboratory discoveries.

Topics and locations might be different each week. Children, ages 9 to 12, can participate from 9am to 3pm.

Museum staff will provide transportation during the program. Participants should bring snacks, drinks and lunch.

Participants may sign up for one or all days with a suggested donation of $50 per child per program. Space is limited and registration is required.
