Janet Jackson will deliver her first TV performance in nine years & will also receive the ICON Award on this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

Janet, of course, has many Billboard achievements to her name. She’s the only artist ever to have seven top-five Hot 100 hits from one album, and one of only four artists to have a #1 album on the Billboard 200 in each of the last four decades.

She was also the first female artist ever to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

Previous recipients of the award include Celine Dion, Cher, Neil Diamond, Jennifer Lopez, Prince, and Stevie Wonder.

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards, hosted by Kelly Clarkson (“The Voice”), will air live from Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, May 20th, on NBC-TV.
