WVEL Community Scope: Springfield/Central Illinois African-American History Museum Presents Non-Violence Advocacy And Activism

The Springfield & Central Illinois African American History Museum will continue its tribute to the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination Dr. King by presenting a tribute to his legacy of Non-Violent Advocacy and Activism.

Robert Moore, retired U.S. Marshal, leads a workshop/discussion on non-violence and activism and Dr. Christi Griffin, author and Director of the Ethics project and National youth conference organizers from St. Louis, MO, will keynote the event. She will share her latest paper on Dr. King’s advocacy for our voting rights.

This event will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2018 beginning at 6pm.
