According to wics.com, the IRS is warning people about a recent scam targeting people’s tax returns.

Scammers are calling victims telling them they owe money to the IRS and must pay immediately through a pre-loaded debit. Experts say scams like these spike during this time of year.

The IRS says to never give out your information over the phone.

If you do get a call like that, hang up immediately and report it to the IRS.
