IDOT (Illinois department Of Transportation) warns drivers to watch out for deer this month.

According to cinewsnow.com, November is the highest-risk month for deer crashes on Illinois roads, and Fulton County is in the top five.

IDOT and the Department of Natural Resources are warning us to keep eyes open for deer while driving.

Fall is mating season, so there is an increased risk of deer movement;  particularly at dawn and dusk.

There were 16,000 crashes involving deer in 2015.

Half of them were in the fourth quarter of the year.

Let’s be careful out there and always remember, safety first!
