The first official weekend of the Illinois State Fair has come and all are welcome to attend!

Saturday, August 13th –First Responders Day:

This is a day where we honor policemen, firemen, and EMTs who are on the front lines everyday.

ISFWT Highlights:

-Parade Of Champions- Selection Saturday

-Open Barrow, Wether, Beef, Poultry Shows

-Junior Steer

-Society Horse Show

-Fiddle & Banjo Contest

–Harness Racing Illinois State Fair Colt Stakes (Three-Year-Old Eliminations)

–Grandstand- Meghan Trainor with Hailee Steinfeld & Common Kings (7:30pm)

–Abe Lincoln Quarter Midgets at the State Fair Arena (5pm)

Sunday, August 14th – Veterans Day:

Veterans and their families are admitted to the grounds for free. A veterans parade and activities are some of the highlights for the day. Discounted ride passes for families of military veterans.

-Sheep Shearing Contest

-Sheep Costume Show/Ladies Lead

-Husband/Hog Calling Contest

-Grandstand-Jake Owen  with Old Dominion (7:30pm)
