The McDonald’s All-Star Boys’ Baseball Game is comprised of high school boys from all over Central Illinois.

Over 30 schools participate each year, and for the last several years we have had college scouts attending.

The Greater Peoria Baseball Association in collaboration with McDonald’s puts on the All-Star Game to get the community, together not only to enjoy America’s favorite pastime, but also to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

RMHC provides a plethora of aid to families with sick children: grants to pay bills that have become overwhelming, meals, and so much more. They provide families with a sense of security and a place to rest. Perhaps most importantly, they allow family members who might not live near the hospital a place to stay close to their loved one, without worrying about how to pay for it in the morning. Staying at the RMHC is free of charge.

All the money generated at the 25th Annual All-Star Game via ad sales, ticket and t-shirt sales, will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Springfield, IL. Each year they are thrilled with the response of the community and support by local businesses. It’s an amazing night, full of lots of fun and friendly rivalry. And of course, Ronald McDonald will throw the first pitch as he has for 25 years.
