There has been some progress when it comes to obesity in America but rates continue to rise among women and teens.
According to cinewsnow.com, new government data shows about forty percent of women living in the U.S. are obese, which is a significant increase from a decade ago (2006).
However, obesity among men, has remained stable at thirty-five percent.
Prevalence has decreased in children under five, leveled off in six to eleven year-olds, but increased among adolescents.
Overall, seventeen percent of children in the United States are obese.
