Peoria, IL has been named the 10th most dangerous city in Illinois.

The ranking come from the website “Law Wtreet” which bases the list on violent crimes per 100,000 people.

Chicago and Springfield both ranked above Peoria (number 6 & 5, respectively) but the top spot goes to East Saint Louis, IL.

Decatur and Bloomington (number 14 and 17, respectively) also made the top 25.

The Law Wtreet website also ranked all 50 states. Illinois came in at number 21.

You may ask which state was the most dangerous?

The answer to that would be Alaska; this state was number one for the second year in a row.
