Saturday, August 15th – City of Springfield/Local Officials Day:
This is a day where we honor our host city for their continued support of the Illinois State Fair.

-Fiddle & Banjo Contest
–Harness Racing Illinois State Fair Colt Stakes (Three-Year-Old Eliminations)

–Abe Lincoln Quarter Midgets at the State Fair Arena (5pm)
Sunday, August 16th – Veterans Day:
Veterans and their families are admitted to the grounds for free. A veterans parade and activities are some of the highlights for the day. Discounted ride passes for families of military veterans.
