Randy’s Recipe: Super Barbecue Sandwiches
Who says that you can only have barbecue when the weather is warm?
I’ve seen people in all seasons rain, hail, sleet, sun, or snow have their grill going and think nothing about the weather; their big concern is, “Is the food ready yet?”
Well, this recipe is just in time for the Super Bowl. You can have this barbecue indoors and make this entree a super meal!

Ingredients for super barbecue sandwiches:
- 4-1/2 pounds of ground beef
- 1-1/2 cups of chopped onion
- 2-1/4 cups of ketchup (organic or natural ketchup-optional)
- 3 tablespoons of prepared mustard
- 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (organic or pure cane sugar-optional)
- 1 tablespoon of salt (sea salt-optional)
- 1 tablespoon of pepper
- 18 hamburger buns (split)
Cooking instructions for super barbecue sandwiches:
- In a Dutch oven, skillet, or crock pot, cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink and onion is tender; drain.
- Combine ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper together; stir into beef mixture; Heat; Serve on buns.
